Do what you can
Last Saturday’s mass pro-Palestine demonstration in London was excellent in two senses: firstly, of course, for the huge numbers - including thousands of self-identifying Jews - expressing their opposition to the ongoing Israeli genocide; but also for the positive response from so many to the Weekly Worker. Though we did not ask for donations, we got more than a few.
In addition, there are the contributions to our fighting fund, either via bank transfer or standing order. Topping the bill was comrade AE with his fantastic £100, followed by PB (£80), OG (£32), DV (£30), PM (£15) and CC (£10) - all of whom donated by SO or transfer.
Then we had quite a lot who used PayPal this week. Thank you, comrade TB, for your excellent £95, PM (£50), MS and ST (£20 each), AB (£11), and AR and SO (£5 each). All that came to £486, taking our running total for October up to £1,085 after exactly two weeks.
Our monthly target is, of course, £2,750, which means we need another £1,665 in the next 17 days. That’s quite a lot, but I’m confident we can do it, thanks to the support of so many of our readers. For example, comrade LC writes in a note accompanying his resubscription: “You’re doing a really good job - I can’t thank you enough.”
And thank you for your support, comrade! But how many others will now join him in not only subscribing, but also donating those essential contributions to our fighting fund?
Please do what you can.
