Essential campaign

With half the month gone, as I write, we’re quite a bit behind the going rate if we’re going to make that £2,750 target for July.

Over the last seven days we received £510 in donations - thanks very much, comrades MM (£100), PB (£80), TW (£75), OG (£24), plus a tenner each from comrades PM, CC and MD. All those contributions came our way via standing order or bank transfer, while another six comrades clicked on that PayPal button - thank you also, TB (£95), PM (£50), ST (£20), AB (£11), plus SO and AR (£5 each).

Finally we got a cheque from comrade IR for £10 (yes, we still receive the odd one of those!) and the usual £5 note from comrade Hassan. As I say, all that came to £510, taking our running total up to £1,178. In other words, we still need another £1,600 in the second half of July. True, we’re approaching that time of the month when we receive a quite a few sizable standing orders, but, on their own, they won’t be anywhere near enough to see us home.

So can you help us out? Play your part in helping the Weekly Worker to continue its non-stop campaign for what our class is sorely lacking - a single, united, principled Marxist party, based on genuine democratic centralism! That can only be achieved if the majority of the existing left groups give up on their individual sectism and agree to join us in that essential campaign.

So please help finance the only paper that prioritises that essential campaign. For more information on how you can contribute, please go the web address below. We can do it! Let’s make sure we not only reach that monthly target, but go shooting past it.

Thanks, comrades.
