Tantalising

Robbie Rix reports on the Weekly Worker fighting fund

Frustratingly, we have ended our September fighting fund just £9 short of our £2,000 target. Thanks to an excellent £617 that came our way over the last week, our total for the month is a tantalising £1,991!

However, it could have been a lot worse, but for one donation in particular - a fantastic £257 from comrade SK! That’s generosity for you. Another who made a bank transfer was comrade BK (£50), while there were standing orders from DG (£60), JT and JC (£50 each), BB, SS, GT and MW (£15), plus £10 each from VP and RL.

Meanwhile, AR did his usual monthly double act - £5 via both PayPal and standing order. Finally DB (£50) and MG (£10) also chipped in using PayPal.

By the way, last week I mentioned the fact that sometimes the Weekly Worker publishes the odd “weird” letter and I’m told that BK (mentioned above) was actually wondering whether he was included in that bracket! But it didn’t stop him making that brilliant £50 donation!

Anyway, we were just £9 short, so I think we can live with that. But let’s hope we make the full £2K in October. If you haven’t already done so, why not join our other regular donors and set up a standing order? (It’s sort code 30-99-64 and account number 00744310).
